I don't have the muscle memory to make those 12 thumb buttons useful. I barely use the 4 on my G700

I think it would be a great idea to build a keyboard with an optical mouse sensor at the bottom. Maybe there'd need to be wrist straps to facilitate moving the keyboard around while leaving finger free to move around the keys. I don't understand why this isn't the standard already. Sure, there's trackballs or touch plates built into keyboards, but nothing beats a real mouse. The same would work with laptops as well, and as a bonus it would be a good exercise.

Or maybe the mouse should be operated with feet... yeah, that'd work too.

Heh. Nice idea. Not sure many people's desks would be big enough to move the keyboard around much, though it'd sure be an incentive for me to keep mine tidier...

I must confess I got really excited when I saw the Naga Epic in the shop. I bought it, brought it home, unpacked it, then went back to refining the programming on my Logitech MX Revolution and N52 setup.

Or may be optical sensing devices on the base of your chair? With qwerty keyboard set into the arm rests. And maybe some sort of big red fire button on the desk in front of you which you could hit with your head?
