TufenHuden Posted April 10, 2007 Share Posted April 10, 2007 I never seen anything like this-I put in CMBO disk-it goes to CMBO then I get a donk Windows sound I hit Esc then ask's me should I send error report to MS-I also tried CMBO set to repair- with no avail-well I think a BO got currupted might have reinstall. My CMBB works so anyone know anything that could be wrong? I've tried uninstall/reinstall still get the same thing. "no-CD exe for CMBO."How do I make CMBO non-CD use-where do I go or do? In set up it doesn't seem to give me that option... Schrullenhaft Posted April 10, 2007 Share Posted April 10, 2007 My guess is that CMBO is trying to playing its startup movie (which the later games CMBB & CMAK did away with). The error indicates an issue with Quicktime. So I'd suggest installing the latest version (assuming that you're running Windows XP): QuickTime 7.1.5 I can't remember if a separate codec is needed, which was Indeo at one point. This is the latest (supposedly free) Indeo codec from Ligos: Ligos Indeo codec v. 5.11 Another thing that you can do is disable the startup video by holding down the Shift key and then double-clicking on the CMBO icon to launch the game. I can't remember off-hand if this disables the video permanently (until the Prefs file is deleted) or if it just disables it for that one launch. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
