Recommended Posts

I never seen anything like this-I put in CMBO disk-it goes to

CMBO then I get a donk Windows sound I hit Esc then ask's me

should I send error report to MS-I also tried CMBO set to repair-

with no avail-well I think a BO got currupted might have reinstall.

My CMBB works so anyone know anything that could be wrong?

I've tried uninstall/reinstall still get the same thing.

"no-CD exe for CMBO."How do I make CMBO non-CD

use-where do I go or do?

In set up it doesn't seem to give me that option...

Also got a little window:

Unhandled Exception:c0000005

At adress:67134753

Then MS error signature:

Error signature

AppName:combat mission exe AppVer:0.0.0.0 Modname:quicktime.qts

My guess is that CMBO is trying to playing its startup movie (which the later games CMBB & CMAK did away with). The error indicates an issue with Quicktime. So I'd suggest installing the latest version (assuming that you're running Windows XP):

QuickTime 7.1.5

I can't remember if a separate codec is needed, which was Indeo at one point. This is the latest (supposedly free) Indeo codec from Ligos:

Ligos Indeo codec v. 5.11

Another thing that you can do is disable the startup video by holding down the Shift key and then double-clicking on the CMBO icon to launch the game. I can't remember off-hand if this disables the video permanently (until the Prefs file is deleted) or if it just disables it for that one launch.
