panther optics and radio damage after deflecting hit ?!

Recommended Posts

Also know that when a shell "bounces" off of armor that many tiny chunks fly off in many directions. We are talking millions of fragments here on a small scale. These fragments have a nasty habit of getting everywhere like in joints and crevasses and, yes, doing damage to that radio antenna in the back.

Check out at 1:10 when they hit armor.

Very cool.

Aye, very cool video, I love the shot gun ones at the end. The block of ice ones are cool too (pardon the pun).

What is the one where the pistol bullet is being hit by something ? Crazy that is hits it hard enough to knock a dent in the bullet but not enough to knock it off course.

Until now i thougt that the deflection of the shell would vanish most of the kinetic energy of the impact.

If the shell would have partially penetrated the armor and exploded, then their is obviously more kinetic energy that could do harm to instruments inside the tank.

But these are only my 50 cent. I have also not tested it in real life. :)

The vibrations caused by the impact of the shell is probably what's causing the damage, even if the rounds deflected (the shell will not bounce away at the same speed so some if not most its energy is absorbed by the tank). If there are components in the tank that are alignment sensitive, shaking it around won't make it work better :).
