However, once I tried to start the game I have to input a license key and an activation key - both of em seem to be invalid (so says the message). Please help. Moon Posted March 1, 2011 Share Posted March 1, 2011 There are two ways to activate the game. Online, and manual. For the former, all you need to do is enter the license key, which is the same key that you used to download the game. That key is saved in your online account at www.battlefront.com/store as well. For the manual activation, you do this: - click on Manual activation - copy the Authorization Request code - go to www.battlefront.com/activate - enter both the license key (same as the download key) and the Authorization Request - this will generate an Activation Code shown in the online form; copy that Code - back to the game, click on Next and enter the Activation Code This will activate your game. I just tried this procedure with a customer key and it works as it should. There does seem however to be a problem with the online activations for some customers. We're looking into it right now. It requires a small hotfix for anyone who has downloaded the game already, and we will update the main version on the production server as well in the next hours. Moon Posted March 2, 2011 Share Posted March 2, 2011 Quick update... if you have the "Invalid Key" issue and do not want to use Manual activation for some reason, you can also download the 1.00.1 hotfix from www.battlefront.com/patches. This will replace your main game executables and the Online activation will work as intended. We are now in the process of updating the main production download, so in a couple of hours (at most) people who download won't have this issue at all anymore, as the hotfix will be incorporated into the main file already.
