  1. Ah, okay. My SF2 download is version 2.03 indeed. So I'm going with this one and then patch it manually. Thanks for your quick help!
  2. I've also switched t a new PC and have to install all my CM games (CMBN, CMFI, CMRT, CMFB, CMBS, SMSF2). I've downloaded all the Engine 4 updates as quoted in this thread. However I can't find such a file for CMSF2. Is there any alternative? Where do I get the most recent version?
  3. Hi, I'm actually living in Paderborn. Unfortunately that's true. They removed the majority of the buildings except some of the older ones. The biggest part of the area belongs to an IT company now (DSpace). At least the other barracks area is still intact as far as I know.
  4. I've just bought F&R and was wondering if there are any new sound files included (compared to RT base)? I made a custom sound mod a few years ago which replaced every original sound with another sound (just one, so not like those huge sound mods). So I'd just like to know if there are any new sounds in the module to replace or if they're exactly the same as in the base game.
  5. Thanks for your reply. I just want to be sure there will be an updated campaign since it's one of the main reasons for me to buy the bundle.
  6. Sorry if it has been asked before but I wasn't able to find any further info on this. Is there any info available on when the UK campaign will be updated? It's the only reason I'm still hesitating to buy the big bundle cause I really want to start with this campaign. Thanks for any reply on this.
  7. Again, thank you very much for your help and the hint regarding the mod. Until now I was only a WWII guy playing all CM games from that era. So modern warfare is a whole new world for me.
  8. Thanks for the quick reply and the clarification.
  9. So I've read several threads within the CMSF2 forums now. Sorry to ask again, but am I correct in assuming that the modules themselves are all up to date for CMSF2 and only some campaigns and scenarios haven't been updated to make full usage of the new features?
  10. Thank you. So there's still work to be done to get the whole bundle up to date, i.e. the British campaign. Unfortunately it's the one I'm looking forward to the most. Are there any hints when this will be finished? Thanks again.
  11. Hello, I'm considering to buy the CMSF2 full package. However, I read a review where someone said the additional modules haven't been updated to the most recent version and therefore won't work as intended with the new base game. Is that really the case? And if so, are there any plans to update those to benefit from the new features? Thanks for any reply!
  12. Thank you, I got it. Is there a special order in which I need to put in all my serials? Ah, I've already found the answer in another thread. If I got it right I'll have to use all latest full installers and put in each original base game key after install, followed by 3.0, 4.0 and all module keys.
  13. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I only have access to the "Patches" section on the website. And regardless of which link/version I use for CMBN for example, there's only the patches - no full installer.
  14. Hello, I own CMBN, CMFI, CMRT and CMFB, each with all modules and engine upgrades. However I'm not able to find links to the often mentioned "full installers" with the latest patches. Since I have to change my computer in a few days I have to re-install the games and I'd like to keep things clean and simple with an up to date full installer. However, there don't seem to be any up to date versions of those? Thanks for any help! canuck
  15. Thanks for your reply. No, I've tried all lots of varied defensive positions and tried to keep my tanks hull down. The onslought is just too drastic to handle. I only got 5 tanks or so (2 churchills and 3 tank destroyers) while the enemy advances with lots of artillery support, at least a dozen StuGs, Jagdpanthers, various halftracks and grenadiers. It's just a question of numbers I guess. I've completed 5 of the stock campaigns on veteran level but I don't seem to be able to solve this one. So I thought there might be something I've missed.
  16. I'm currently stuck in the scenario "Fair and Square" (defending Grainville against ferocious Waffen-SS assault at night). I've tried several different strategies but none of them seems to work. There are just way too many StuGs to cope with. My few Churchills and Achilles TDs get blown to pieces even before they reach their positions. I've also tried to hold all troops back and counter assault with massive artillery. But my troops are totally outnumbered and not able to gain any ground. Does anyone have a hint on how to solve this scenario? Thanks for any advice!
  17. Nice work, especially the first strip. Could you provide a link to that campaign please?
  18. Hi, on the website it says: Also know that CMBN, CMRT, CMBS, and CMFB Base Games and Base Game Bundles are all using Game Engine 4 now. CMFI, once we get some details ironed out, will also be at Game Engine 4. So it should be included already I guess.
  19. Okay, I checked the various settings again. Try the following: 1. SCGC Main Menu: turn off "Full Screen" 2. Properties for the desktop icon: > Shortcut tab: add "-w" switch to target path > Compatibility tab: "Run this program in compatibility mode" checked; Win XP (SP3) "Reduced color mode" checked; 16 bit "Disable display scaling" checked "Run this program as an administrator" checked Right click on shortcut and select "run as administrator" when launching
  20. Hmm, I don't think it has something to do with the touch screen. I would try to change settings in the properties (right click properties of the icon that is): colour depth, the various compatibility modes, admin mode. I'm also running Win10 and encountered very similar problems until turning off the full screen option in-game and activating the Win8 compatibility mode in the properties.
  21. Try to turn off the full screen in the game's settings menu. Don't worry, the game will still be displayed full screen after you changed that. The draw map error should be gone. You can also try to use the Windows 7 or 8 compatibility mode by checking this option in the properties of the start icon.
  22. @CMFDR: Thank you so much! This is excellent material and way better than I was hoping for! I'll be buying the book as an ebook because I'm not sure it would arrive in time for my trip (beginning next Tuesday). Again, thank you very much!
  23. I'll be visiting the Ardennes battle areas in two weeks and I'm still searching for a guide book. The most popular seems to be "A Tour of the Bulge Battlefields" by Cavanagh, but it's hard to get over here in Germany (it wouldn't arrive in time for my trip). Does anyone have other hints for a good guide? Thanks in advance!
