Boche
hey guys, just wanted to share the finished verison of a map ive been working on. the map is set south of Laskhar Gar, Helmand Province, Afghanistan its based off Google earth and id say its about 60 to 70 percent loyal to it, somethings had to change tho Coordinates : Lat: 31°30'55.14"N Long: 64°19'18.46"E most of all im looking for feedback, i think of the maps ive created for personal use its the best one. im "working" on a couple of missions for a short campaign set with Brit forces in afghanistan, this would be the second mission atm. hopefully if I stay motivated enough, (AND I AM ALLOWED TO CHANGE UNIT NAMES AND NOT THEIR LEADERS!)... ...the campaign will see the light. thanks! saludos!

Paper Tiger
Ha ha! It looks like we're going to get at least two new campaigns set in this region of the world. I just got started on a map in this region for my new Brit Light Infantry campaign this weekend. Anyway, not to steal your thunder, mate. Your maps look excellent.

akd
What area are you working on Paper Tiger? Concentrating on updating my sound mod right now, but have been planning on mapping the Garmsir area. Also toying around with a section of Marjah.

Stagler
Dont put the palms in. Try and go for the more conventional scrubby trees like these. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3639/3318301380_c9e23d8297.jpg

Frankster65
Nice looking map. Very detailed. Looks like a lot of work and effort went into it. Let's hope you do stay motivated and finish it...unlike your PBEM games.

Stagler
boche, the irrigation ditches and boundaries between the fields are lined with trees. Thats what makes it so easy for the AGF to engage then fall back itno another field and we lose them. http://ootp.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/nawa-field_090810.png?w=600&h=400 In general in the stan thers also more grass and growth. Keep the desert to the sides of the green zone and vegatation and have more grass inbetween compounds and fields. If you got CMA mate look at some of my maps.
