stikkypixie
I just finished an exhausting TCP/IP game and I noticed this. The damage tab states that the radio of the M1 is damaged, yet it is still in command via radio?! How is this possible?
MikeyD
I've been K.O.'d by more than one tank with 'destroyed fire control', myself! All I can figure is they must assume built-in redundancies so its rare that a function is entirely destroyed on an Abrams. Perhap hes got a still-functioning FBCB2 (admittedly not on your list). He's also close enough for visual signals I suppose.
Jonny(FGM)
I think the point is it should be listed on the symbols as FBCB2 and visual not radio right? As for the fire control, aren't modern tanks crews still trained up to aim the gun manually if the fire control systems get damaged?
Erik Springelkamp
Was the damage very recent, and is the command status just not yet updated?
stikkypixie
Was the damage very recent, and is the command status just not yet updated? No, took the screenshot at the end of the game. The damage happened a couple of minutes before, and any case it shouldn't take this long to update. I remember having a T-72 with destroyed autoloader still shooting once.
stikkypixie
A little bump...
Damian90
Strange, but M1A1FEP (this is correct designation BTW, not M1A1HC FEP), should have been equiped with FBCB2, Marines fielded it even before 2003 Iraq invasion. Normal Marines M1A1HC are not equipped with such... But to be honest, any M1A1 can be retroffited with FBCB2, in OIF many M1A1HA's, HA+ or HC variants, both Army and Marines were equipped with FBCB2's.

This would shown in the C2 icons no?, if the tanks had FBCB?
