freddyg
Sorry if this question has been asked before. I searched and couldn't find it. I have a new machine with 8 GB memory and a quad processor. But they AI turns are 10 min and longer!! Is there any way to speed up the AI turns?
GetSome
I know that this has been raised before, but a recall of the summary of events would be nice and allow you walk away and cut the grass and return to the game. even the human v human in the later years of the war, slows down alot. (as more countries join the fold). Love the game btw.
Hubert Cater
Have you tried playing with Video Acceleration and with Quick Animation turned on? Additionally which campaign are you playing?
Hubert Cater
Vespa, for a recall of the summary of events we now have the 'L' enabled that will show you a log of the main events from the last turn... does this not help?
GetSome
I will try that, thank you.
Chargin Smith
I have all the SC Battlefront games and this is an issue with all them except SC2 Blitkrieg. I often go back and play Blitkrieg because the AI turns are quicker. BTW, I love all the games but slow AI ruins the game for me, especially if I mod games. I can mod in SC2 Blitkrieg all I want and it doesn't slow AI! Running fast computer 9 Gigs Ram, 3.0 processor, and turn on both video accleration and quick animation
Hubert Cater
With the added units, rules and AI improvements it unfortunately has slowed the game down. That is a part of the give and take and hopefully the newer additions make it worthwhile for most players. Hubert
wlape3
One thing you can do is to adjust the performance of Win7 itself. You can turn off some of the jazzier features and you can adjust the balance of performance versus power consumption. The default is a mix which doesn't give you the full power of your processor. Once I adjusted this, SC Global ran almost as fast on Win 7 as on Win XP.
Chargin Smith
wlape3, I am running Win7 but have not messed with the performance feature. New to Win 7 so where do you adjust this?
wlape3
Start => Control Panel => Hardware and Sound => Power Options You may need to click on the "Show Additional Power Options" to get the performance one to display.
