dan/california
Win 7/64, running game as administrator. It locks up and then crashes when I try to open "saved games" from the programs main menu. I am also having an in game crash very similar to the one described a few threads down for a Win7/64 machine. Any ideas are appreciated.
Schrullenhaft
For the 'Saved Games' issue you may want to manually browse the folder: '\Program Files (x86)\Battlefront\Combat Mission Shock Force\Game Files\Saved Games' Remove any files in here and then start CMSF again. I assume you should be able to open the Saved Games with nothing in the folder. If you are interested in playing these games still, you may need to add them back in, one at a time. One of them is most likely corrupt enough to cause CMSF problems reading the header. As for the other "in game crash", is this a "memory error" that you're getting or what ? The thread below (if it is the one you're referencing) is an issue with the ATI/AMD video drivers being a Catalyst between 9.4 and 9.9 (and possibly 10.4). If this was the issue (at least with the 9.4 to 9.9 Catalysts), then you would be crashing in the game after about 5 to 10 minutes of play. Are you playing a particular scenario or campaign ? To my knowledge there's nothing in particular about Windows 7 64-bit that would be causing specific crashing problems with CMSF.
