Doug Beman
How do I get fuller control over what programs load during system startup? I want to stop idiot stuff like RealPlayer, my audio&video utilities, etc from loading in order to free up system resources (currently showing only 60% free while at idle desktop immediately after startup!!) Thanks in advance (probably to Schrull, but ya never know) DjB
Andrew H.
Go Start/Run and type msconfig. Click on the "startup" tab in the dialog box that pops up. Then just unclick those programs you don't want to start.
