BigDuke66
The clouds in the game are flickering any clue what the problem could be? I got a ATI 4890, Windows 7, latest drivers. BTW as W7 comes with directX 11 installed should I or do I have to install directX 9 for this game too?
Schrullenhaft
DirectX 9 is 'built-in' for DirectX 11 in most cases. Older DirectX libraries might get dropped in DirectX 11, but I suspect all of the DirectX 9 libraries are probably there. So no need to do anything to my knowledge. If you want, you can run the DirectX 9.0c web updater (which works with Windows 7). However I don't know if it will find too much newer since the updates go up to Sept '09 - before Windows 7 was released. I'm not sure what would cause the clouds in the game to flicker. I don't know if any anisotropic filtering settings will help here or not. Anti-aliasing might help or actual cause this effect, so you may have to experiment with disabling it or changing the settings.
