Echo
The blue and red unit icons that hover over units ingame are unresponsive now. Clicking them does nothing. Clicking directly on the 3D unit model works, but that is difficult to find the "click" spot sometimes, makes gameplay a chore. This is on Vista32.
phil stanbridge
There is an option to select in the settings of the game that makes the mouse clicks more responsive with ATI cards.
Schrullenhaft
It would be interesting and unfortunate if this problem returned. There is (or was ?) a workaround in the CMSF code to allow mouse-clicks to be a bit more accurate when there was a particular bug in the ATI/AMD OpenGL code (which actually caused the game to often CRASH - rather than just simplay being inaccurate mouse clicks). Lately that hasn't seemed necessary, but if this bug has returned (in a slightly different form) in the 9.12 Catalyst, more people may have to resort to using that built-in workaround. In the main CMSF menu go to 'Options' and towards the bottom of the Options menu is the selection for "High Priority Process". Set this to "Off (Smoother Mouse/Key Input)". It was previously called something else before 1.10 and it was specifically for the ATI mouse problem (where you couldn't select things in the 3D window). So I believe this is the current option name for that previous workaround. If you're in the mood to experiment, you may want to try the 9.10 Catalyst and see if it has the same problem selecting units/icons.

phil stanbridge
Indeed I loved my 5850, but I ditched it and downgraded. I now run an Nvidia 9800 GT and it's perfect, well.. perfect apart from the glitches the new drivers have introduced! Guess you can't have everything.
