Thog
I've never been able to figure out how to change video modes. It never asks, and I can find no setting. Any hints? Thog
Chupacabra
Delete the file titled "Combat Mission Bynd Ovr Prefs" in the main CM folder, and you'll be prompted to choose a video card and resolution the next time you start the game. ------------------ Grand Poobah of the fresh fire of Heh.
Schrullenhaft
When you initially launch CM you're presented with a black screen with white/blue text listing the current resolution/refresh rate. Depending on the resolution you normally run at and the type of video card you have you'll have the opportunity to rotate through the available resolutions. This is a one time selection and you won't get this screen again unless you delete the CM Preferences file. Then the next time you launch CM you'll repeat the above process. You should see this resolution selection screen whether you're on a Mac or PC, but I have heard that some Mac users (and some PC users) don't see this. This may be due to the hardware or resolution that they're running at. This will also happen (to my knowledge) if there is no 3D capable video card and CM automatically selects a software rendered mode at 640 x 480.
