Can Demo Scenarios be Played in the Full Purchased CMSF?

Recommended Posts

Don't ask me why, but now that I have purchased the full CMSF (Paradox version) plus the Marines and British modules, I still would like to play one of my favorite scenarios "Going to Town" and the "USMC Going to Town" which don't seem to be available on the full versions mentioned above.

I tried to copy the scenario file "Going to Town" from the demo game scenario directory into the scenario directory for the full version and it shows up in Windows Explorer, but when I try to load it from the full game it doesn't show up as an available choice. Any way I can make this work?

It's a great scenario and I was hoping to try it again with all the v1.20 features available.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It appears as if the scenarios are hard coded not to be usable in the full version. The reverse is also true, you can't use a full version's scenarios in the demo. The changes to some of the data that allows the scenario to be played in the demo apparently is preventing it from being used by the full version.

I'm not sure if anyone re-did these scenarios and put them in the Repository or some other site. You may want to search around.
