birdstrike
For those in the know, what kind of vehicle markings would be commonly used on British military vehicles today? (especially on TUMs/Defenders/Wolves?) I know, there used to be those colored rings, triangles and stuff during WWII, and I found at least one picture with a warrior using similar marking. So, are these still used today? Any help appreciated, thanks.
Combatintman
Colours are rare these days - you can expect a bog standard Coalition half chevron, a number plate and a coy/sqn marking with the vehicle callsign in the middle of it all in black. The coy/sqn marking coventions are pretty much unchanged from WW2 if you know much about that. What you won't see is a coloured box with a number inside it. Otherwise all you've got is an air recognition dayglo panel. Some challenger regiments draw rings around their barrels to indicate which troop they'r in (I think). Best bet is to hit a military modelling site - these guys are all over that sort of stuff.
birdstrike
Okay. Thanks. Confirms my initial assumptions. Will try out the modelling sites.
