Bartokomus
Hi there I just swapped out my aging 8800gt for an ati 4890 and find that my CMSF is graphically corrupted now, both new games and saved games. I've wiped out my prefs and redone them, but the problem remains the same. In addition, i allow the games to set all parameters and don't force anything through the drivers. I play many games and this is the only one experiencing this problem. In the olden days of yore ATI cards had issues with fog in CM1, if do recall correctly; is there a new issue with ATI and CM2? thanks for any help or suggestions, Bart
Bartokomus
On a further note, the game now locks up once i click "next" in the command briefing, which has no images etc in it. The OS is reporting my driver is stopping and recovering once i kill CM...
Bartokomus
It appears that Valve's Steam was the culprit. case closed. thanks
Jon Hagstad
Can you run CM:SF with Catalyst 9.4 & 9.5 with your 4890? The game crashes for me with any driver newer than 9.3 on my 4870. cheers

Redwolf
It's not that ATI's driver history over 10 years is in any way different from this... Nice way to pay money for something to spend you time on.
mat7861
Try the new 9.6 drivers. I have a 4890 and everything works fine with 9.6.
