eddie01
Found this link in another forum, thought very recent pictures from that military action, might prove interesting. From a Russian Army site, so unless you can read Russian, just enjoy the pictures, lol Some are of casualties, not for the squeamish. Most are action photos though, some of the Russian tanks are pretty beat up, makes you wonder what kind of eyesight the driver has! http://army.lv/?s=2561
saunders1953
Excellent find, eddie01. I wonder who the photographer(s) was, or if these are a comilation from many different photographers. There seem to be pictures from both sides...at least I assume that those pictures showing troops in American uniforms, gear and were Georgian.
Bigduke6
The blurb says the pix were taken from open sources. It looks like a mix of Russian media and international media, with a heavier weight on Russian media. Captured Georgian personal soldier items (web gear, ammo pouches, knives, stuff like that) were a popular item among Russian troops, some of whom wore what they took from the Georgians. So although Georgians would be more likely to wear US gear, Russians wearing US gear was not unheard of.

John Kettler
eddie01 and saunders1953, Welcome aboard! eddie01, Nice pics! Attention scenario builders, note white sandbags at Russian defensive positions! Any way to reflect the ease of spotting them in setting up the scenarios? Not exactly terrain blending! John Kettler
Ammo grogs should take a look at the third picture from the left, top row here. Russian HE-Frag, HEAT and KE are all clearly seen. http://army.lv/?s=2561&id=0&c=0&p=11 Regards, John Kettler
