apoll
Can't run this game. Have latest i7 CPU with 2 x 4870 x 2s in crossfire with latest 8.12 Cattylst drivers. Loads...then screen freezes...goes into black screen of death...with only cursor showing...and have to re-start computer. What is wrong? Have I wasted my money? apoll
Crom092
maybe. TOW doesn't like SLI nor Crossfire nor Dual screens. Try to unplug or desactivate one of the card and launch the game. See what happens.
Crom092
But Combat Mission : Shock Force does.
apoll
Great! I have to perform major surgery to my computer just to get this thing to run? If that is right...and I'm not even sure how I turn off Crossfire, if that is right, then it is unacceptable I'm afraid. SLI/Crossfire have been around for years; if ToW is not compatible with it, then what are Battlefront doing taking people's money without letting them know their game does not like Crossfire/SLI?? If it is accurate... apoll
Sneaksie
apoll In other thread you said that you have problems with shadows in the game, i assume that you've managed to run the game then?
Mongo
Try resetting your settings on your ATI cards to "Factory Defaults". You can find this in the "Preferences" tab. This worked for me with the same problem on another game; Take Command: 2nd Manassas.
apoll
Well yes...it seemed to work for a moment, then when I shut down and start up again...Bang! Same problem. But for short while, it seemed to work. I do not know why and cannot repeat it. apoll
