maps and water

I modified a map (sandormiez) with a river.

And I saw several IA soldier crossed the river, under the water.

I try to do the same with a tank. It is possible to go under water.

I checked with the map editor, the river is in red !

So what is the problem ? :confused:

Probably too deep at crossing point, has to be >1M deep IIRC.

infantery can cross grids diagonally while vehicles occupy more grids. Thats why they knock trees 3 meters away while grunts hug trees. Probably a small bump in elevaion under the water, but not large enough for a vehicle.

The deep is more tahn 1 meter.

The soldiers are fully under the water, as the tank.

And the river is very large.

Arzok. You have to raise up the river bed where you want the crossing to be. It's a bit tricky but easy once you get the hang of it.

I was surprised that a solider can cross the river, even if it is deep enough.

did you try troughing it deeper, just wondering how deep you have to make it until the troops stop crossing.

I think you should need to recalculate pathfinding cells, game uses obsolete pathfinding map, when there were no river. Also delete all *.bin files from the mission (not the map) folder.
