Webwing
Mad Mike, Thanks for the AAR!!! I´m glad you enjoyed it. The idea was to have a lot of action and a reasonably big force but still be able to manage in RT, which is what I play 95% of the time. Like you said if you go slowly you don´t really need a lot of pauses and still you have time to evaluate the situation as you go. -- SlapHappy, Might have to do with style of play. Maybe you are an anxious kind of guy. Seriously, the idea is to go slowly, since you have plenty of time. Evaluate the situation and decide what to do as you go along since the enemy AI is pretty active in this one. - -
SlapHappy
Well, actually, I'm probably too slow rather than hasty. I tend to lay back until the heavier weapons have done their work, but in this case you don't have much in the way of "heavy" obviously. I also probably lose a lot of my play time because I insist on playing in RT mode. I noticed that I'm more efficient in turn-based though I still prefer RT. I probably pause too little out of laziness and that doesn't help either. Also, your Syrians are quite a bit more "uber" than most in the pre-packaged scenarios. I tinkered with the Red OPFOR and set them to "typical" and tried a replay. Totally different result. I was able to force a capitulation and win the scenario fairly handily. I guess I'm just not up to a fight with equivalent quality forces when I'm outnumbered....
Webwing
Like I said in previous posts the idea was to have a "fair" fight. Also challenging. To compensate for the better weapons of the US I upgraded the Syrians! Good thing is that you can always go to the editor and change that! Like you did! But actually I have already done two versions. v1 is with uber Syrians. v1.2 is more what you would expect and also a bit more support. I think it might be fun to play v1.2 first and then go for v1 for extra challenge! -
