Atago
Just curious, not griping... In CMSF you can often spot vehicles quite a ways out by seeing dust trails appearing. At some poin the vehicle appears as well, dust trail in tow. In "real" life - can you spot the dust that well even when the source isn't visible? Sometimes it's like there is an invisible truck or something moving along.
birdstrike
That's been an isue with CMAK aswell. For one, it's engine limitations, of course, but also in RL it is very much possible to spot the dust cloud created by vehicles (moving through the desert, for instance) a long time before you can actually see the vehicle.
Lanzfeld
The problem in CMSF is that you can PINPOINT the said vehicle.
c3k
I second the motion. A bit more obscuration would be nice. The absolute pinpoint characteristic of the dust source is the problem. The solution? Hey, if I had that, then I'd be at BF.C. I leave it to them. Ken
birdstrike
Well, the problem of pinpointing the source is as much caused by the ability of the player to fly everywhere on the map and inspect the dust cloud from point-blank range.
