JonS
a.k.a. Sunrise and Sunset times. As part of something i'm working on, I decided to catalogue the actual sunrise and sunset times for DAAMASCUS. These times have not been checked against what occurs in the game, although I expect they should be prety close. I have no idea what lat/long BFC have used as the basis of their sun-moon-stars model. Damascus, Syria, 2008 (33.513N, 36.292E) Month Date Dawn Sunrise Sunset Dusk Moonrise Moonset Moon Phase June 19 0338 0425 1847 1934 2024 0531 Full, waning 20 0338 0425 1847 1934 2024 0531 21 0338 0425 1847 1934 2101 0631 22 0339 0425 1848 1934 2133 0731 23 0339 0425 1848 1934 2202 0832 24 0339 0426 1848 1935 2229 0932 25 0340 0426 1848 1935 2256 1033 26 0340 0426 1848 1935 2325 1135 Last Quarter 27 0340 0426 1848 1935 2357 1241 28 0341 0427 1848 1935 None 1349 29 0341 0427 1848 1935 0033 1502 30 0341 0428 1848 1935 0117 1616 July 1 0342 0428 1848 1935 0211 1727 2 0343 0428 1848 1935 0315 1832 3 0343 0429 1848 1935 0426 1927 New Moon 4 0344 0429 1848 1935 0540 2012 5 0344 0430 1848 1934 0653 2049 6 0345 0430 1848 1934 0802 2121 7 0346 0431 1847 1934 0907 2149 8 0346 0431 1847 1933 1009 2216 9 0347 0432 1847 1933 1108 2242 10 0348 0432 1847 1933 1206 2310 First Quarter 11 0348 0433 1847 1932 1304 2340 12 0349 0434 1846 1932 1402 None 13 0350 0434 1846 1932 1500 0013 Dawn is taken as being midpoint between Nautical and Civil Twilight Dusk is taken as being midpoint between Nautical and Civil Twilight Note that as this is specifically for DAMASCUS, actual times for northern SYRIA will be a little different. Hopefully this will be of use to Scen Designers - and players, wondering just when it'll get light/dark Regards Jon

ChrisND
I've saved this to use in my briefings. Good stuff.
Fenix
After watching that table (and trying to imagine myself how hard for you should have been collecting that data) i can only state: HOLY S*%T!
Meach
Is moonset and moonrise the right way round?
JonS
erm ... I think so? The columns could perhaps be recversed, but I'm pretty sure the info is correct. Not that it matters much ... in the context of CMSF there is bascially no moonlight.
Gridley
For reference, a full moon rises at sunset and sets at sunrise (as it is on opposite sides of the sky) and a new moon rises at sunrise and sets at sunset, give or take up to an hour due to varied height in the sky relative to the sun.
