Field Marshal Blücher
Is there some code in the Marines Module that makes MTVRs stick like glue to the roads? I guess it makes sense, but you should be able to turn it off. Case in point: a Marines campaign scenario where you are told that there are minefields on some of the roads. I deliberately issue orders for my vehicles to avoid likely minefield spots, turn away for a bit to watch an LAV doing something else, and then hear a giant explosion as an MTVR disregarded my orders and went smack into a minefield. 18 KIA is my reward!
Elmar Bijlsma
Customer 1: WTF, why is that vehicle following the road!!! Customer 2: WTF, why isn't the vehicle following the road!!! BFC: GAH!
MarkEzra
Minefields are not mines-on-roads-fields. Without seeing a save file I'll venture the guess that you simply didn't give an order that avoided the mines, just the road. Could that be possible?
Field Marshal Blücher
You're correct, MarkEzra. However, I did guess (correctly, as it unfortunately turned out) where the minefield was, and the move order I gave should have had it go around it. I guess it just takes some getting used to. You're also correct, Elmar.
