John Kettler
As a result of fortuitous circumstances, I found a gold mine of groggery has been declassified by the CIA. Unfortunately, the FOIA Viewer doesn't open its own window with URL, so you'll have to either key these in manually or search for them. www.foia.cia.gov (EST PUB DATE) U.S. INTELLIGENCE AND SOVIET ARMOR Created: 1/1/1985 TANK PROTECTION LEVELS OF THE 1990S (SW M 91-20017) Created: 5/20/1991 Do NOT read this one without additional underwear on hand! Much of what was excised in other docs is here. SOVIET TANK PROGRAMS (NI IIM 84-10016/DS) Created: 6/1/1984 Regards, John Kettler

John Kettler
The Louch, You're welcome! I found out that a lot of Oxcart/A-12 stuff had been declassified, so after exploring that for a bit, I started plugging in other search terms. Some pretty amazing stuff to be seen there. If you have some specific interests, I can probably suggest some good search terms. The thing's both fiddly and schizoid that way. dima
Some good data on early T-80 armor, as well as early T-72's. Also there is data on BMP-3 armor estimates. Definitely a great find that I didn't know existed.
