hellas1
Hi all, I'm thinking about buying CMBO along with CMBB & CMAK. One question: I downloaded the demos for CMBB & CMAK and they work on my Vista 32 bit machine! Does this mean they will FULLY work on my machine too along with CMBO? Sorry but I had to ask (I don't like blowing money.) hellas1
Bannon DC
It is not so much Vista as the graphics card you have. What do you have? Someone more knowledgeable that I will come along shortly.
hellas1
Hi all, I have a Nvidia 7350LE on my Vista Home Premium. Will all 4 of the Combat Mission titles work? The demos for CMBB & CMAK & CMSF work. What about CMBO? Thanks, hellas1
leakyD
CMBO will work in Vista. CMBB and AK will work, but Fog will not show (at least it doesn't on my Vista install). There's a discussion on using CMx1 in Vista in the CMBB forum: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=82613 Once you upgrade to modern video card (8xxx and 9xxx Geforce series), you're going to have issues playing CMx1 in Vista. I just spent most of the weekend re-configuring my machine to dual-boot XP/Vista. I'll play most of my games in XP, but when I get a new video card, I'll use Vista for DX10 gaming. After my upgrade, I'll still be able to reboot into XP for CMx1 and other stuff. Hope this helps....
medlinke
Is there any ongoing support to ensure that these games can be brought up to full Vista compatibility? CMBO is a different engine so I don't expect to see it for that, but CMAK & CMBB still seem quite relevant.
flamingknives
CMBO, CMBB and CMAK are all based on what is now known as the CMX1 engine. All development work by BFC is now focussed on the current CMX2 engined games, CM:SF being the first in that series. AFAICT
medlinke
That's what I feared... Thanks
