geozero Posted August 18, 2008 Share Posted August 18, 2008 Hexes are likely more difficult to program. Some of the first AH games were tiles...then they discovered hexes. Hexes tend to have a more "wargame board" feel, which is what us old timers in gaming love. But with the advent of PC, I think tiles can do a proper job. As I stated, it probably comes down more to a design decision based on programming complexity. I think. I guess. Oh hell, I don't know. Hexes are pretty.
