Squigibo
I'm looking at the forums and the majority of problems seem to be with the 8800GT. But mine is a 6800GT with current drivers from NVIDIA. game launches and on the ground is this moving bunch of graphics that appear to be clouds moving overhead but are on the ground. Grass and bushes are all in a grid pattern and unrealistic. Like this viewing from overhead and medium height. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I also have a huge black square where the battle is to take place. I have graphics turned all the way up, but doesn't change even on low settings. Game looks just plain horror show.

Schrullenhaft
I haven't seen that sort of error with any of the Nvidia cards I've played CMSF on. Which exact driver are you running and what are you're '3D Management' settings for it ? Is this Windows XP or Vista ?

Dennis50
Ok ...just installed 169.21 drivers ..no problems, looks good. Played one small battle in CMSF and didn't notice any problems. Gunz
Dennis50
Hey Squig ..leave the nekid women alone and check all your 3d settings ..make sure it's set for one display and not dual display. I think the drivers default to dual display when you install them. Hopefully it's that easy and not a serious problem. Gunz
Squigibo
Cool, thanks Gunz... I'll check your suggestions. May even roll back the driver and see what happens. This may all be unnecessary since I just ordered my new 64bit dual core, but has a 8800GT card in the order... so we'll see. I'll try your stuff tonight at home. Thanks again.

M1A1TC
I think CMSF is optimized for older systems that dont have dual core processors, Vista, etc It's basically the opposite of what Crysis was designed to do - push systems to the limit and last around for awhile
