aleader
So RAM has some different effect with dual core? I have 1GB RAM, Athlon 4000+ (not dual core), 7600GT, XP Pro, and run at 1152x864, 2X AA/8X AF with all settings at max and it runs smooth as silk. aleader
PF usage is about 136MB (I keep it pared down as much as possible...especially shutdown the useless MS services). I'm not sure what 'steel torrent' is.
aleader
Ok, Steel Torrent is a battle...I get it. Runs smooth, no issues at 1152 x 864, same settings as before.
SIO
Originally posted by franz: just downloaded and installed both those. Still getting jerky, low FPS gameplay. The problem might not be related to the AMD, but to the video. Let's check it - maybe you need more video card tuning, besides just the new drivers. Video tuning is described in the troubleshooting guide: http://www.battlefront.com/products/tow/troubleshooting.html I would recommend doing those things first: --- Some people have been able to get their game to launch by adjusting their Antistrophic Filtering and Anti-Aliasing settings in their video card control panel to "Application Preference", please consult your video cards docs to learn how to do that. --- For people with Nvidia video cards, try setting the following options in the Nvidia Control Panel. Your results may vary so try them one at a time to judge if there is any difference. Set "Threaded Optimizations" to OFF Set "Extension Limit" to OFF Set "Triple Buffering" to ON Also, try to do other things described in the guide. Destraex
"""Martin: Currently this issue is reported exclusively on computers with AMD Athlon 64 CPU. To fix it just install the patch available at: http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/utilities/amdcpusetup.exe.""" is there a cpu (amd64)patch for vista?
