SoaN Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 A contest “Wallpapers in military style” took place in Russia from 13 till 29 July. Mb you will be interested to take a look at works that were send to 1C. Here is the link to the page with user made wallpapers: http://ww2.games.1c.ru/?action=konkurs . Of course all wallpapers have Russian logo, but still…
FinnN Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Yep, I was watching that one - some nice ones in there. I personally really like the ones that combined real photos with ingame graphics, this was my favourite: http://ww2.games.1c.ru/image.php?id=1488 Was surprised not to see any done in a constructivist style though, would've been really cool. Have fun Finn
nachinus Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 As another poster wrote some days ago in another thread, I'd prefer that they made contests for user-made missions or campaigns. That would really be useful for the community!
FinnN Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 I agree with Nachinus, but I also think it's nice to see little things like this - and it's appreciated to let us know about them on this forum. Equally I think it'd be good to see some sort of summary of the dev blogs in English (the new one on the map terrain editor looks interesting - is this for a future add-on, or only a dev tool?). Also who's 'М.Свирину' who seems to have been taking questions in a sticky for ages? Not important, just wondering! Have fun Finn

SoaN Posted August 2, 2007 Author Posted August 2, 2007 Ok, I think I will translate dev blogs in English. Just be patient. Tomorrow I will post 1 or mb 2 of them (depends how hard it will be for me ). Pls post you wishes which one you would like to see first. As for you question about М. Свирин – (Михаил Свирин) Michail Svirin. He is a historical adviser of dev team. He is a specialist in WW2 history and technics – tanks, artillery and etc. Ruther famous person among Russian historians. He have wrote huge amount of books on WW2 history. His books are considered to be most accurate.
nachinus Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Great!, thanks SoaN! We'll have something interesting to read tomorrow.
