Used to drive me crazy when setting up a new client's webhosting and I'd see a thumbs.db in the directory, because the programming language that I use (for TPG, others) uses .db as the database files. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
wamphyri Posted September 14, 2004 Share Posted September 14, 2004 If i'm not mistaken, which I usually am, thumbs.db is actually a little file about thumbnails. I don't have a mac so i'm guesstilating but when you are viewing a directory on a mac any picture file may show an extremely small picture as it's icon, and the mac would make a little file to store these mini-pics.
