The Codfather
I just got me a relatively new Toshiba laptop, and it seems that the fog and high-res smoke is not being displayed properly. Here's the video specs I've got handy: Graphics Controller S3 Savage/IX™ 3D Accelerator Graphics Accelerator 128-bit BitBLT Local Bus AGP bus (w/side band) Video Memory 8MB SGRAM integrated Anyone have any suggestions on how I might get the fog to show up? If it can't be done it's no big deal, since I still have my desktop which works just fine with CM... Schrullenhaft
Unfortunately you'll probably be out of luck in getting fog to work with that video chipset. S3 hasn't been known in the past to have very well written drivers, so this chipset probably doesn't support fog-tables and transparencies properly. This is actually a common problem for laptop graphics chips since they aren't geared for games and often lack support for features that games use.
