I'm not the first one to say this, but it looks like it didn't catch. Who came up with the idea that we ordered a "pre-release". It was not battlefront.

Nearly every game today has mayor bugs and the support is unavailable or very lousy and slow (Medival II, Test Drive unlimeted, Stalker, Gothic III, etc, etc. ). So I decided to look for "smaller" games and companys and was positv surprised until now(Galactic Civ II, best support so far, for me from Stardock and prerelease much earlier than only one or two days ...) , who knows what comes with this title ? Hopefully it is "bugfree" with a support equal to that by Stardock(patches within a few days, openbeta for all users how would like to test,...) , and brings on many, many updates, expansions and fun for gaming.

user73, luckily we have a long history of long-term support for our games. That's a must of smaller independent publishers and developers like us - the big guys can pump a few million into marketing to sell&forget. It's a bit like the movie industry - as soon as you bought the ticket, who cares if you like the movie smile.gif And to make sure that you come again, the next marketing wave will be even bigger.

This doesn't work with us. We don't have the budgets to plaster Gamespy etc. with ads or buy favorable editorials. We have to work for our money as the most important tool for us is word of mouth to make sure that the news spread and the game is good. For that long term support is essential. And, obviously, a good game, too.

Luckily this meshes well with our dedication for what we do, and is one of the reasons why this little fish is still around in a sea of sharks smile.gif
