Destraex
Can buildings indeed be populated or is it only open field combat?
iplaygames2
I don't think it's a "fix" , nor do I think anyone "has the game" yet...other than the devs. As far as I know, building entry was never supposed to be included in the game, and I don't think it's in the plans to "fix" it. Lanzfeld
Well....it WAS going to be in the game but the DEVS couldnt get the camera to work well.
Stirling
Extreme innovation. The first RTS without at least some ability to garrison buildings.
Panzerjäger653
Shame - most of the stuff I have read about combat on the eastern front during the winter said that the taking of settlements was critical to the survival of the soldiers and that many skirmishes were over villages etc For all Codename Panzers faults I thought the one thing it did well was being able to garrison buildings and being able to fight inside them - won't put me off getting the game though still seems a vast improvement over anything else
MikeyD
It'd be interesting to find out just what proportion of village fighting usually takes place 'inside' the buildings themselves. From the sound of it being inside a frame-style wood building is about as much protection as being in a carboard box when there's heavy mg fire incoming. and stouter buildings sound like magents for cannon fire. It almost sounds more effective to be behind a structure than inside it. Stone buildings and Large-structure city fighting would be another matter entirely.
