Lanzfeld
Do the bodies of fallen troops stay on the map? I hope they do at least until the end of the battle. I can understand not leaving them out there the whole operation but I would love to see em there all battle. No framerate hit because you start the battle with all of them anyway.
GrAL
Well, it's an option. You can turn off disappearing bodies and they will be on the battlefield till the end of the mission.

iplaygames2
That's awesome. I mean, once their dead, they are static, and shouldn't put any more pressure on PC performance, right? Secondly, it's awesome to have a designer/dev here filling us in on things. Thanks, GrAL!!
DASman
But what about the undead? Will they want to eat brains? E
GrAL
Actually they give some pressure on PC performance, that’s why we made such option. Dead do not have any morale effect, when soldiers see some one of their friends dieing they moral level is decreasing. Thanks to you for being interested in our game. %)) P.S. It's a pity, but we don't have undead %)))

THE Sabot
****Bodies on the battlefield would be a nice touch, but its mox nix. Whats more important are persistant vehicle wrecks, which block LOS and provide cover for crunchies...that is if units in this game are allowed to take cover. gunnersman
From in game screenshots you will see PUHlenty of persistent hulks. There was discussion on infantry cover. But whether or not hulks block LOS was never answered. However I suspect this will be the case. Discussion here.
CoolColJ
Originally posted by GrAL: Actually they give some pressure on PC performance, that’s why we made such option. is there an option between the 2 instead of all or none? say after a certain amount of dead bodies have piled up, the earlier ones disappear? Or maybe 1 in 3 dead bodies stay, while the others disaapear etc
