dphillipsd
It is my view that the above mentioned games are indeed very similar; does anyone have any opinions/is able to enlighten me as to the differences between them?
traemyn
Officers contains no MP on release (comes with future addon supposedly). Officers campaign was cut VERY short for release. I believe it now only includes an allied side. gameplay differences not sure, mostly b/c the Officers ppl have not released very much concrete info about the final product. It doesnt look like a good future for Officers
Max Wünsche
I held out great hopes for Officers... Large maps, lots of units... map-editor/maker But I saw some recent pics with what looked like..... Health Bars... for tanks...! This combined with the total... and I mean TOTAL lack of info on the game for well over a month now makes me thinks its dead in the water... Correction, its capsized! gunnersman
Yea. I saw what looked like a squad of Panzershreck soldiers too. Meaning there were three soldiers grouped together behind some rubble, each with a Panzershreck. Not the normal two man crew; loader and gunner combo. That doesnt look too good either. syaped
I remember reading in some interview or something with the Officers devs that they have changed the original design for the game and are now going for a more traditional rts... gunnersman
Command and Conquer? Thats about as traditional as it gets.
Max Wünsche
I remember reading in some interview or something with the Officers devs that they have changed the original design for the game and are now going for a more traditional rts... I bloody well hope not...!!! Its getting to the stage where we will have to execute the majority of 10 - 18 year olds as their the ones these tragic games are aimed at... No target audience, therefore no genre... If TOW grows to have all the options people are asking for then it could be potentially BRILLIANT!!! Lanzfeld
Health bars eh? Seeing healthbars in that preview pic is like getting handed the iceberg report as the captain of the Titanic.
Max Wünsche
Funny how one thing can ruin a possibly great game...! Pitty...
