The size of a playable map is 4 square kilometers. The size of a map that one can see while playing is 8 square kilometers.

One small comment - the Russian version will be released.
The English version is being localized and it will contain, just as Matt told before, some additions. This means that it's still in development stage.
I'm pretty sure that one doesn't play a game like ToW in the way a FPS is played.
You ususally see the battlefield from above. This is pure eye-candy with no real effect on the gameplay.
The green bar over a unit is the health bar and the red one is morale.
Soldiers may take more than one shot to be killed depending from what weapon they are shot at and where they are hit.
We don't have blood in the game.
Minimum system requirements are
Windows 2000/XP; DirectX 9.0с; 2,6 GHz processor; video card similar to nVidia GF 4600 or ATI Radeon 9600; 512 RAM.
Recommended:
Windows 2000/XP; DirectX 9.0с; 3,4 GHz processor; video card similar to nVidia GF 6800 or ATI Radeon X800 with 256 Mb RAM; 1 Gb RAM.
The checkerboard pattern is shown only at the beginning of the mission before you press the strat button. One can move his troops and vehicles and position them within this pattern.
It is switched off as soon as you start a mission.
It is true. The Russian version of the game is scheduled for an end of October release. The dev guys have already started working on localization and bug fixing of the English version of ToW. Believe me there is a lot to localize for this game since this is not a first-person shooter.
Not exactly. Together with Battlefront we decided to change some elements and to add material. We want to deliver a really good demo which shows the game. We'll try our best to do it ASAP.
It is true, the Russian version of the game is nearly completed, but as you know all the members of the dev team are Russians and the game was also developed in this language.
There is a lot to localize in the game - megabytes of text, voiceovers, etc. The guys are already working on it.
The guys were really busy doing tuning and voiceovers.
Nevertheless a new AAR has been done recently and translated into English. Should be posted pretty soon. So stay tuned.
