Juardis Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 -Can grass/trees catch on fire? -Will the fire spread? -Is wind simulated? -Will those pretty haystacks catch fire? -Will buildings/walls take damage? -Will real 3-d craters be created? -Will trees splinter under an arty barrage? -Will trees fall across a road blocking vehicle passage? -Is barbed wire modeled and can it be destroyed with bangalores or similar? -Can tanks punch holes in hedgerows for the infantry to follow through? -Is "willy pete" available to clear out the foxholes in the hedgerows? so many questions....

I think it's a factor in the ballistics calculations but I am not 100% certain. -Will those pretty haystacks catch fire? No. -Will buildings/walls take damage? Yes, all structures in the game can be partially or fully damaged. -Will real 3-d craters be created? No. -Will trees splinter under an arty barrage? Nnn-yes. They do not splinter as such but are knocked over or fully destroyed. -Will trees fall across a road blocking vehicle passage? For some vehicles, yes. Most tanks and other medium to heavy vehicles can knock over trees and hence also drive over them. -Is barbed wire modeled and can it be destroyed with bangalores or similar? Yes. And a grenade or high-explosive round will be enough to destroy it. -Can tanks punch holes in hedgerows for the infantry to follow through? Hedges are passable for infantry (at least I haven't seen any impassable yet, aka bocage). But for structures like stone walls the answer is yes. -Is "willy pete" available to clear out the foxholes in the hedgerows? No.
