Chilibird
Howdy, We all know the game does some in game shading. However, I've noticed that the shading with .obj files is far heavier than with .cob files, even with the collision models thrown in. Is this a side-effect of the .obj file? Or are we just not doing something right? -Ice
ClaytoniousRex
That's because DropTeam obeys the material color from the .obj file. You should be able to make your surface material brighter (a higher diffuse color) to lighten it up in-game to match other elements.
poesel
Sorry Clay - there must be something else. The textures are copies from existing vehicles. See yourself: Turn it 180°:
Chilibird
I think it may also be possible to change that in blender. I'll take a look when I have some time today.
ClaytoniousRex
Yes, the textures are the same, but I'm talking about the material properties of the model, not just the colors in the texture. The diffuse color of the material surface needs to be raised in the modelling package. EDIT: And probably the ambient color, too.

The gouraud shading on the tank makes it look wrong - that front armour plate should be receiving the same amount of light at all points and yet it's darker at the near corner than the far one.
