AI in operational level

Any idea at this point how the AI prioritizes where to move or when to attack/defend?

I'd be interested to see if situations like an attack on a static line controlled by an AI that would be "toggled" to defend were possible. Also the obverse, if the player wanted to play defence, will the AI attack in decent fashion?

...and if this was in the FAQ, I missed it (I love how a FAQ was generated prior to any non-developer folks asking questions ;) ):

I know the CMC turns are supposed to be 60' each, so what happens if opposing units hit one another at the 1' mark in that 60'? Does the battle resolution AI take over until the end of the 60', then generate the CMBB battle?

Or does the game jump in 60' quanta, so this will never be an issue? If so, will there still be some aspect of the engine that sets up the CMBB battle with casualties/morale hits from the initial contact?
