Modding

Hello!

I quick question, how come that Battlefront don´t want the community mod thir game(s)? Wouldn´t that make the games "hold" longer?

Look at Operation Flashpoint, from the modding view that is.

This question is just because I would love to set my teeth in this game and do some new vehicles and stuff.

Any news on that front? Steve mentioned some kind of converter or something a week or so ago. No specifics though.

I suppose...it was actually mentioned before 1.03 was released, if my memory is correct. There are more pressing issues that's for sure, so no big deal.

I am interested to see what people are gonna do but on the whole this game looks really sweet without modding. I am hoping wrecked vehicles can be dirtied and beaten up, without effecting the original, but I think the textures are probably shared.

IIRC Steve once mentioned that the 'converter' is just some kind of explorer for the *.brz files in the data folder, since they use a housemade file-container format. If I understood it right, they just need to release it.

I hope they will do soon, since I really must change the music of the scenarioloader screen. smile.gif
