mav1
Will troops in cmx2 stick to the terrain that offers lesser protection like walls, rocky, brush rather than trying to sneak to scaterred trees or woods, when under rifle fire. Sometimes this would mean they sneaked through open terrain thus having less cover. Will the troops have better terrain awarness, like deciding to stick in the terrain that offers lesser cover than near by terrain depending on the distance involved in moving rather than exposing themselves more by sneaking through open terrain to get to the better cover area. What about having orders the scenario designer can give to afv's for path finding. Like defensive orders to stick were they are. Advance with caution, so that the ai plots the best hull down postions while the afv's move forward. Attack with speed, options were the ai plots the fastes route to the flag. Or an order for the afv to ignore the flag and just hunt for the nearest enemy. The scenario designer could plot ares for the ai on the map for specifc units to get to. Sixxkiller
You do realize questions end a sentence with a little symbol like this ---->?<--- right?
oren_m
You know, when to ask many long and in most cases pointless questions you might forget the question mark. Oren_m
juan_gigante
Grammar aside, I think it's a good question. A key issue with 1:1 representation is whether or not the Tac AI of the soldiers one cannot directly control will act in an intelligent and realistic way. That said, it probably fits better in the 1:1 representation thread.
