rudel.dietrich
I think I know what the answer is before I even post it, but I cant help myself Will light and weather be dynamic? Say you start a scenario at around 18:00 and it is a 90 turn game. Will the sun sink behind the western horizen and shadows lengthen and visibility decrease? I know the game is set up for short engagements. But even an engagement of just 30 turns would see some light change if it was fought at dawn or dusk. Same thing for weather, will we see it change in the course of a scenario?
Battlefront.com
Lighting changes within a scenario based on time, but weather is static. We might be able to change that in the future, however CM:SF is likely to have one set of weather conditions for the entire scenario. Michael Emrys
What kind of weather changes would you have in Syria in a one hour period anyway, aside from an occasional dust storm blowing up in some parts of the country? Michael That is pretty much what I was thinking of. As well and wind changes and cloud cover changes.
Battlefront.com
I agree that in Syria the weather is not likely to change all of a sudden. At least not like it does in Europe. Which is why we haven't worried about this yet Steve
Sixxkiller
Well you never know what the weather will be like in 2007. Duh!
Battlefront.com
Sixxkiller, if your sense of humor is any indication as to how you soldier, I fear for the future of the Army Steve
dan/california
I will put a lot of money on hot, dry and sandy. All we really need are three things, day , night and sand storm. This assumes anyone would try to fight in a sand storm, mostly the they just try to breathe. Changing weather is a low return on the jarred brains time.
Sixxkiller
Well if the time it takes for you to release your games is any indication, you should be in the Army! Ok wait scratch that, your games are too good and in Army logic good means go with something else. No Army for you. (btw I am retired now) Now add me to the testing team as I need something to do!
