securityguard Posted May 20, 2007 Share Posted May 20, 2007 Awhile back it was said that bombers would be represented as a high-stealth unit, similar to a sharpshooter in CM, because there are no civilians in the game. With the game just around the corner, is it possible to get more information on how IED's and suicide bombers work? Moon Posted May 21, 2007 Share Posted May 21, 2007 securityguard, yes, IEDs and VIEDs are in. The whole concept of IEDs is highly abstracted to avoid players overusing and abusing it. In short, IEDs, VIEDs and spies are invisible to the US player at game start. The game is tracking their activities and once they start behaving suspiciously, they might get revealed to the US player. Once revealed, their life expectancy is rather short as you can imagine. This is a rather deep topic and a highly unique and innovative game concept so it would be too much to describe it here in detail. We might make a blog post or series of posts out of it though soon.
