I've just played my first game of SC2 (wich is great by the way) as the Allies.

The Axis ofcourse conquered Poland after a few turns, then they went for France, but they did something strange... They didn't attack the Benelux and just kept hitting the maginot-line wich ofcourse easely held...

They even put all their troops behind the Sigfried-line, they had like 3 lines of troops overthere.

Some time later Russia joined, not even one of the German border city's was garisoned and after a few turns I was attacking Berlin.

In the meanwhile, I used a UK corps to attack Rome, an there wasn't an Italian unit in it...

So the game was over in 1942, the Germands didn't even capture one city of the Allies...

Is the AI really that stupid or was this just a coincedent?

Yes remember the default setup is dead easy - I finished my 1st game as the Axis on that, jsut to get used to the systems - much more fun than reading the manual! smile.gif

tonight I start as the allies with it bumped up to maybe one off the top setting.

Perhaps you can be the Axis Eike...?? :D

lol i tried on 0 as allies i mad a mistake(wasnt paying much attention) forgot to reinforce bottom maginot line and after a while they took france. My issue like in sc2 is not that the axis could not beat me its they arent aggressive enough in russia to win. Moscow attacks are 1 army and they leave 3 armys behind to watch. I really LOVE this game just wish it was more aggressive. Also HQs being to close together is a pain lol.
