Timskorn
Not sure if this has been discussed before, but what are the different sides of a fortification supposed to do? It seems there is never any reason to build anything larger than the smallest fortification. It's quicker to make, so you can create more, and the fortification allows up to a 6 entrenchment bonus which is huge. So, what's the purpose of the angles/# of sides? KG
I thought that if a unit attacked from a side that doesn't have fortification then their was no fortification bonus?
Night
thats what I thought, but with this game anything is possible.
Timskorn
There's nothing in the manual that says that's how it works. Just says how to build them.
TaoJah
I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago and a beta-tester ansered that it only gives fortifications for the sides of the wall. However, IMHO the biggest advantage is not the extra 1 point defence, but the fact that you can entrench alot higher in them. I only build them with the Germans in my war path where I DOW on ALL the minors and defend the Russian border with level 3 corps in fortifications untill my main troops are ready with their conquering and attack Russia.
