Hi all,

i liked SCI a lot and would buy SCII at any time. Though there was one thing that annoyed me about SCI: Upgrading your tanks would not raise their anti-infantry-capabilities, so in the course of the game, tanks became more and more useless against infantry due to the inf.'s increasing AT capabilities. Is this problem (as i feel it is) being taken care of in SCII?

Yes, heavy tanks research will advance both hard and soft values. Infantry, on the other hand, will have to research two different techs: infantry weapons for the soft values and anti-tank for the hard ones. So tanks will have a slight advantage in SC2 that was lacking in SC1.

Exactly how I use them Edwin, and I never research heavy tanks, prefering to keep them cheap and numerous. One other noteworthy parameter is their defensive value gives them "staying" power. I'm hoping the new SC2 armored/mech. units exhibit that realistic property(defensive strength) when researched into the upper tech levels.
