Yes John! , I too, am with you on your assessment, I would very-much like to see more "Unpredictability"!...in the game.

It has to reamain historical, coups in Turkey or revolutions in Vichy France, how HIGH was the possibility?

You can add a gazillion what ifs, but if you don't stay the historical path for neutral countries then the game is not about recreating history as we know it.

Coup in Turkey - unlikely the military was in firm control and firmly supported by the populace.

Coup in Vichy Algeria unlikely, they were pro-French until after WWII.

Coup in Iraq - it was crushed by the British who landed at Basra - no loops going to the Arabian Sea I see, not historical at all. ;)

Coup in Vichy Syria - unlikely, more likely was Turkish Annexation of Vichy Syria after seeing Vichy France give up military control of French Indochina to Japan in 1941 - unable to recreate in Sc2 as minors can't annex territory (I tried and it does not work). Some Turkish politicians wanted to, others did not. Those who did not won the arguement.

DD, I wasn't offended, just wanted to point out a

possible inconsistency in the arguments being

presented against my idea.

I was just using examples BTW Blashy/Edwin (ones I

thought of off the top of my head). I liked the

variants in 3R, but I liked Days of Decision even

more (even if the implementation wasn't perfect).
