Edwin P. Hubert Cater
There is some possible linkage between scripts but most likely not this specific in nature... it will become more apparent once the game/demo is available... but general popups will be a standard script

Edwin P.
Another quick Question. Can you insert fixed sized JPEGs into Popups? Example: I want to create a popup for Dec 7, 1941 with a photo of Pearl Harbor under attack and the text "Japan attacks American naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii" and another Popup for Nov 8,1943 with a photo showing the meeting of Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin in Tehran (if Russia and UK have not surrendered). pzgndr
Edwin, there is a new Developer Diary article #2 over at Wargamer.com. There is some good discussion about events and a couple of examples of the scripts. There is a lot of flexibility in what we can do, but there are also some significant limitations. Like Mick Jagger says, you can't always get what you want.
Desert Dave
Like Mick Jagger says, you can't always get what you want. And, To finish Jagger's original rock-roll thought: IF You TRY sometimes, You'll get... what you need. Your questions - and in fact, EVERYONE's Suggestions, comments, and fresh ideas Are vital to ongoing creation, and Yet to be considered. It's like when JFK became President. He purposely surrounded himself with "The Best and the Brightest," So that he wouldn't MISS OUT ON Even one brilliant new possibility Which would otherwise remain... un-noticed. Better that than only listening to those Who agree with you, eh? Good that we have so many Who are asking, wondering, asking, musing Asking again, and... as Very well informed Vets, volunteering new And possibly - yet to be used... ideas.
Edwin P.
Dear Pzgndr, I read the Developer Diary #2 this weekend, and found it most interesting, although it did leave a lot of questions unanswered. Was glad to read that Germany can now have a scorched earth option. Looking forward to seeing if HC adds a Naval HQ unit or allows one to add play buttons for audio files, of old radio broadcasts, to pop-ups Day of Infamy Speech by Roosevelt Hot Time in Old Berlin [ February 28, 2005, 09:17 AM: Message edited by: Edwin P. ]
