Doug Beman
Singling is a great battle! It illustrates the importance of long-range/restricted width LOS, for one thing. DjB
Doug Beman
And, having stated that lesson, I promptly ignored it and lost 2 vehicles because I moved them in too close, had them separated, and got each one into a duel with 2 enemy AFVs. Damn, damn, damn. I was doing SO well throughout that battle. To throw it away like that really pisses me off. DjB

Havermeyer
SPOILER* Agreed. I've played this scenario twice, both times with the Krauts. I was originally appalled with my force alignment-- especially when I saw the US armored force. The heroes were an immobolized panther nestled on the trail heading out of town but with wonderful lines of fire. Knocked out 7 vehicles, 4 after a track hit-- and survived the duration. In addition the German security troops in the houses near the enemy troops scored 36 kills to 4 losses without panic. Wonderful scenario. I do believe the forces are heavily balanced in the defenders favor. Haven't played the Amis yet. 210mm rockets. awesome.
Doug Beman
I didn't get a chance to use them. The building my spotter was hiding in got shelled, and the poor guy wet himself and was combat-ineffective the rest of the battle. DjB

Doug Beman
I've asked Madmatt to give his judgment on whether your exploits deserve mention on the Heroes' page, along with which medal you should receive. DjB
