dalem
Madmatt, et al- I am playing a little QB, and I ordered one of my German Pionier squads to Assault a T-34, which it does handily. It hurls its satchel charge or whatever and immobilizes the tank, right at the end of the turn. Next turn I right click on the squad to give it orders and I see an orders menu more suited to a gun or something: non-infantry orders menu. I snapped the picture, saved the game, and then chose "Halt" from the abbreviated menu. When I right clicked on the same unit again, I got the proper infantry orders menu: normal infantry unit orders menu. Is this supposed to happen and I missed something in the manual under "Assault" (not inconceivable)? Or is it suitably "odd" behavior and do you want me to send you the save game files? -dale
zukkov
looks to me like you were still in assault mode and needed to halt before you could issue normal orders...
Juju
Yep. And guns and support teams can't split squads, but the option is there in your first picture.
dalem
I didn't even know there was an "assault mode". -dale
TSword
Dalem, That occurs when you give a squad the Follow tank command (a waypoint on the tank which can also happen by accident). You have first to issue a delete waypoint, then everything is normal again. Some kind of indication whether one is in "Follow" Mode would be great for the patch.
